This was a second part of a brick workout. Had to run for 60 min and not let my HR go higher than 134 bpm

How slow did you have to go to keep your HR under 134? That is an interesting workout. What's the theory behind that? I gimped my way through UVM and BQ'd barely.

It was about 8:30 pace. Keeping my HR down is meant for body durability to allow recovery while still being active.

Congrats on the BQ time! How did your calf hold up?

Thanks. My calf started bothering me about 6 miles into the race and seemed to be on the verge of doing what it did in Phoenix around the 11 mile mark, but then a little after halfway it calmed down a bit and didn't start bothering me too much again until the last couple miles. Luckily it never seized up on me.
