Hey Kyle! I just saw a recent entry post by lewiskyle and thought, I bet that's my cousin. Sure enough. I didn't know you were on the fastrunningblog. I've been on it for a long time. With a half marathon pr of 1:22 you should be able to go sub 3 in a marathon...EASY.

Hey Rhett! I randomly joined up with a group of pretty amazing runners last summer that got me on the blog. These guys are legit. I'm talking 2:20 marathon times. I trained with them for a few months, putting in 60-70 miles a week to build a base, and then I started getting some pretty nasty leg pain. After an MRI, I had a stress fracture in my femur, and I couldn't run St George this last year. It's just recently in the last few weeks that my leg has finally started to feel better. I'm slowly ramping up the miles.

I'm pretty heavy into triathlons, with a big emphasis on running. I'm registered for Ironman AZ in Nov. Still fully planning on qualifying for Boston sometime this year as well.

Great to hear from you.

Which of the shoes you wear are your favorites?

I've been doing half IMs and hope to do a full in a couple more years. Are you doing the HITS IM here in Havasu? I had a stress fracture in my tibia after Boston 2010 which kept me from running for 6 months. I know how that is...bummers. I really love my Sketchers, the Ultras for long run and easy runs since they are crazy cushiony and still fairly like and the Sonics for racing and running faster.

I'm running the Phoenix Marathon next month which should get me a BQ time. I'm thinking about going back to Boston in 2016.

Sounds like a plan. Hopefully I can qualify this year, and then we can both run Boston in 2016.
